| Well... sorry I haven't updated in ages. I am back home for the summer which is WEIRD!!! I am loving getting to see everyone and just relax a little bit. I know it's just a matter of time before I start to miss Aggieland real badly but I will get to see most of my friends at least once over the summer so it will be ok. This past semester was a huge time of growing and learning for me and I loved it. I made some great friends and grew trememendously closer to Christ. Our trip to Costa Rica was AMAZING! The above picture is just a taste of the beauty we got to enjoy and if you want to see any of the other 350 pictures we have, just let me know!
So this summer I'm gonna be working (I think) with Dr. Capper at his doctor's office and taking some classes at TCC. It shall be interesting but it'll keep me busy and hopefully I'll have some time to have fun as well. I'm actually a little scared about classes at TCC just because it'll be a totally new environment and I won't know anyone. Oh well, I think I'll manage. I'm really excited about swimming while I'm at home, if anyone wants to join me, let me know! I need to start planning the Jello Party for this year, maybe we'll have some new people this year! If anyone wants to help me w/that, I'm more than open to help!
Today was Mother's Day and we got my mom a photo printer that's really cool. I think I'll be using it all summer! My mom is awesome. Dad grilled steaks, potatoes, and asparagus. It's nice to have real food once again. I'm going to six flags tomorrow with Lauren, Jason, and his g/f Amanda! I haven't been a really long time so it'll be great.
This is long enough so I'll stop but if I get a lot of comments I might just keep updating!
| I haven't updated my xanga since JANUARY 1ST!!! Haha... so sorry about that.
MERRY SPRING BREAK!
This semester has been amazinggggggggggggggg and super busy! I love my classes, friends, church, and ASC! My family and I are going to Costa Rica on Sunday for Spring Break! I'm sooo excited! The rest of this semester is going to be incredible with ASC retreat, Yellowcard concert, Phantom of the Opera, BYX Island party, Parent's Weekend, Family Reunion, then SUMMER!
I might be working as a counselor at AWANA Scholarship Camp in southeast Texas!!! They don't have the silly rule about waiting a year before you can be a counselor like they do at our camp. I met the missionary for the souteat Texas region and he's really neat. I'm also gonna be taking classes over the summer and hopefully working at a doctor's office.
I hope all of you are doing swell and that God is revealing himself more and more to you each day. He loves you so much.
| Today I heard an interesting thing on TV.
"Make a New Year's Resolution to watch more Desperate Housewives"
It got me to thinking about what makes a reolution worthwhile. I seriously considered what I hoped to do in 2006 and hope they will have much more eternal value than watching some trashy TV show. My Resolutions for this year are to:
1. Read the Bible through again in a year
2. Drink only water, milk, and the occasional starbucks.
I hope all of you will consider making some great resolutions for this year and sticking with them. 2005 was the first year I officially accomplished this and I was richly blessed for it. I pray you all have a wonderful 2006 and seek God's mighty face with your whole being.
| Ok, so I'm pretty bad with this xanga thing these days. And yes, I do leave my laptop laying around for mischevious people such as my brother to get on it. I guess I'm just the sharing type.
I can't believe this year has gone by as quickly as it has. It has had so many great memories, new changes, new people, new passion. As the year comes to a close so does my trek through the Bible in a year. I can't believe I've almost made it through. My mom and I both did it together starting last New Year's day. I'll be finished on New Years eve. If any of you have never does this, I would strongly encourage you to. It really only takes about 5-10 minutes a day of reading and God reveals so much to you through it. He has been speaking to me in all sorts of ways lately and it's great to feel so close to Him. I'm going to start over New Year's of 2006 and read it through again. I think I'm going to do this habitually til I die or can't read anymore. Maybe by the time I'm 80 or so I'll have a good grasp on the majority of the Scriptures.
Christmas was good. I got some pretty sweet gifts and it was nice to be with the family. I love being able to take naps whenever I want and read til my hearts content. Tomorrow and Friday I'm going to go work back at Teresa's then I'm going to Lubbock this weekend with my dad to see my Paw Paw. I don't have plans for a big New Year's Eve bash.....
ANYONE HAVING A SWEET PARTY THEY WANT TO INVITE ME TO?!?!?
eh, hem... I got to hang out with Lauren yesterday and which was lots of fun. We went and saw King Kong. I dont know how I feel about that movie. A little long and too many scary bugs. I've gotten to see Baby Ryder several times since I've been home. He's amazingly cute and sweet. I miss my friends from college. I miss Aggieland.
We're going skiing in a couple weeks which shall be awesome. I think that's all for now.
I WANT TO SEE CHELSEA MILLER!!!
